Hello folks~ I am a South Korean national planning to visit the beautiful island of Tasmania Australia sometime this month. I was wondering if it is possible for me to rent a car there? I will soon hold an international driver’s license before going off to Tassie. But the problem is……I’m 19 years old. Will turn 20 this June. Some car-rental companies state minimum age is 21 and some say 25. But I really wish to drive there as I have come to know it’s more beautiful that way. And I also wish to take my girlfriend there too. So it’s a big thing for me. Will the agencies there let me rent a car if I pay additional per-day charge OR wager a larger sum of money in case something happens? (As what happens in the USA) Please, I’d like to know if IT is possible in Tassie or not. Help sincerely appreciated!

Hello folks~ I am a South Korean national planning to visit the beautiful island of Tasmania sometime this month. I was wondering if it is possible for me to rent a car? I am actually 19 years old. Do not have a driver’s license. But I know how to drive well and have a 7months driving experience. Born in India, I learnt to drive and was in the process of obtaining a driver’s license when I had to suddenly return to Korea. Hence, the driving skill exists but not acknowledged legally. Does this problem of mine have the SLIGHTEST possibility of being neglected to obtain a rental car in Hobart? I was thinking maybe showing the agents my driving skills personally and paying a much higher price (upto 100 AUD a day) for rental OR maybe depositing a large refundable sum of money (upto 4000 AUD with my passport) if anything goes wrong. All off the charts. is there any possibility? I mean, sure legal matters are indeed of much importance, but in every country there are other ways of bending the rules and still playing it safe. Of course money plays a significant role, but money is of no concern to me. I recently won the lottery. Help please? Excuse my ahem…..neglegence of legal matters, but I really wish to drive in the wonderful roads of Tassie with my girlfriend. It’s much more beautiful driving and making a license here is just too complicated and in a language that I am still not used to. (Born and raised in India) People, I just want to KNOW IF A THING LIKE THAT IS POSSIBLE????? (local car rentals might have a chance)

Is it possible for me to rent a car when I?

Hello folks~
I am a South Korean national planning to visit the beautiful island of Tasmania Australia sometime this month.

I was thinking maybe showing the agents my driving skills personally and paying a much higher price for rental OR maybe depositing a large refundable sum of money if anything goes wrong.

is there any possibility?

I mean, sure legal matters are indeed of much importance, but in every country there are other ways of bending the rules and still getting what you want while playing it safe. Of course money plays a significant role, but money is of no concern to me so I am kinda flexible with my cash.

Help please?

Excuse my ahem…..neglegence of legal matters, but I really wish to drive in the wonderful roads of Tassie with my girlfriend. It’s much more beautiful that way.
Money is no concern for me as I recently won the lottery. Thus, the trip to Tassie.
And no, I am not a menace and I drive responsibly. I will give proof of my driving to the agents if asked for.

People, I just want to KNOW IF A THING LIKE THAT IS POSSIBLE?????
(local car rentals might have a chance)

It’s just that getting a license here in Korea is too hard and takes too much time!
And I know about these underground,”bend and twist” the laws thing as my past was mostly spent in India.
Please help me.?
